Is a straight razor better for you or a system razor?

This blog isn’t sincerely a debate but to simply try to teach and persuade you as to why you must begin shaving with a system razor.
These points will give you a clear picture and help you to make the right choice:
- Time and convenience:
If you have a lot of spare time to learn and master the art of shaving with a straight razor then they are perfect for you, all it calls for is a lot of time to get a shave out of a straight razor. On the other hand system razors are best simply due to the fact that you don’t have to invest in a lot of time to learn to shave, it is just so simple. There is no pivot to the head in a straight razor so every time you have to shave you first need to identify a proper angle and then begin to shave. Therefore shaving with a system razor is really easy and is best suited for today’s busy lifestyle where men don’t have time.
- Wide options available:
No options are available in a straight razor. System razors have transformed men’s razors they have gone from one blade to six blades, so you are left with a variety of options to choose from according to your facial hair type and what suits you the best.
- Gives you the closest shave:
Research shows that facial hair never grows in perpendicular direction rather grow at an angle of 31 to 59 degrees. So for a close shave with a straight razor, you always need a wet shave or the chances of getting nicks and cuts increases. A system razor follows lift and cut system. The first blade in a system razor lifts the hair away from the skin and the following blades cuts the hair giving you closest shave possible. Most of the men want a close shave, but a close shave is only possible if the facial hairs are cut a little below the skin line. You must be thinking that this may increase the chances of getting ingrown hairs, no don’t worry. Instead of shifting to a straight razor opt for a system razor with less number of blades like a two blade razor or a three blade razor and get a closer shave without having to worry about ingrown hairs.
Choosing between the two comes down to your own preferences and what you’re most comfy with. Some of you may like shaving with straight razors and some will be in favour of system razors both of them are great for shaving, but what is best for you is most important.
